About Me

Hello! My name is Halle Nelson, and I’m a senior Psychology major with a minor in Urban Studies. For as long as I can remember, I’ve watched my father’s work in coral conservation, and have always wanted to learn more. With my passion for human beings and the ways that we can help one another, it felt like a natural link to showcase his activism, especially with its connections to collective action. My interests also fall naturally into the ways that the climate crises evoke feelings of distress, depression, and hopelessness, and how to encourage both myself and other people to push past these feelings and promote change.
